I am pleased to share with you the exciting news of establishing our new initiative, the Oxford Staff Centre Of Professional Excellence (OxSCOPE), dedicated to enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees across various campuses of the OBC. I am profoundly committed to employee professional development, fostering a positive work environment, and aligning the College mission and strategic goals with individual aspirations.
As the founder of OxSCOPE, I am truly honoured to be part of a visionary College that values the growth and development of staff and provides opportunities to all, including myself, to use and enhance my skills, knowledge and ideas; as a result, I have established OxSCOPE.
I welcome and support everyone to be part of this journey towards empowering our college community with the skills and knowledge needed for personal and professional growth.
The Staff Centre is a testament to our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and advancement.
Our vision for OxSCOPE is to create a dynamic learning environment that nurtures talent, fosters innovation, and encourages a culture of continuous improvement. Through cutting-edge training programmes, coaching and mentoring, workshops, and seminars, we aim to equip our staff with the skills, knowledge, management and IT tools and expertise required to excel in their roles and embrace new challenges for the growth and success of the College.
At OxSCOPE, we believe investing in our people is crucial in driving success in all aspects of our College. We aim to create a vibrant hub where all members of our College family can come together to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and achieve their fullest potential. We cover various personal and professional development areas, from leadership development to technical proficiency and everything in between.
As we embark on this journey together, I invite every one of you to be a part of this transformative experience. Your dedication and passion drive our success, and I am confident we will grow, rise and shine together. Ultimately, we will create a thriving community of professionals committed to excellence.
I look forward to collaborating with you as we take proactive steps towards reaching new heights of success and making our College, including all campuses, a centre of excellence in every sense.
Once again, welcome to OxSCOPE. Let’s embark on this remarkable journey to grow, rise and shine together!
Our people are our most important value asset. Providing focused employee professional development for them is necessary because they are integral to the College succession planning for the future. Recognising their qualities, knowledge, and skills as well as the areas that need development, gives us something to focus on and aim towards it. Not only is this good for our business, but it’s good for the future of our people too.
The Oxford Staff Centre of Professional Excellence (OxSCOPE) aims to provide for all staff a route through which individuals will fulfil their potential and achieve consistently high-performance standards, enabling them to develop professionally and contribute significantly to the College.
We believe in building a culture where every employee can flourish.
Our Work Slogan is
Human capital is the most valuable asset of an organisation. Many organisations emphasise that resources must be used effectively to maximise efficiency and profit. However, the most crucial factor that will improve the effectiveness of an organisation is humans. In many human resource management studies, it is commonly accepted that human is the most distinctive factor in the success of organisations. Therefore human is vital for all parts of organisations, and it is essential to use that resource efficiently. Therefore, our HR philosophy is
“A unique private higher education institution having excellent working relations across all management levels with a culture that values all employees’ outstanding performance with impressive rewards and believes in continuous professional development, fosters teamwork, and supports balanced attention to work and personal life”.
“Attract, develop and retain a highly talented and motivated workforce to create a learning and best performing culture with excellent working relations with all staff ”.
The OxSCOPE is a great way to support staff by helping them creating their own professional development plan for success and an ideal way to assist their line manager in supporting that journey.
We are confident that OxSCOPE will benefit the College from increased productivity and team cohesion, contributing to an improved bottom line and business growth. When employees see professional development, they are more engaged in their role, feel happier, and are more likely to stay. So, demonstrating to our people that we care about their future not only improves employee productivity but also retention.
OxSCOPE uses different methods (exercises and psychometric testing) to identify individuals’ strengths and areas of improvement (weaknesses) in our teams. We will then work with you to establish the skills, knowledge and behaviours you need to develop further and create a realistic path (professional development plan) to success.
