First college to launch FREE exclusive course for Ukraine war victims

Oxford Business College has launched free English courses exclusively for people affected by the war in Ukraine. With this initiative, the College has become the first higher educational institution in the UK to support people fleeing the war-affected region.

An announcement from the College says – ‘As destruction worsens and casualties mount, leaving behind everything, Ukrainian people migrate to foreign lands. To help them resettle, we have decided to do what we are best at – Educating. Communication might be a significant obstacle to restarting a life from scratch, as the majority of the migrated people do not know foreign languages, especially English.’

The 12 weeks course is free for anybody from the war zone. Affected people may join the online course from anywhere in the world after providing proof of their origin and migration.

Experienced lecturers of Oxford Business college will be teaching these twice-weekly classes. The course will provide the students with English speaking ability and basic English language skills for business, which would help migrated people get employment or start a business.

Oxford Business College is the oldest independent higher education college in Oxford, with London, Slough, and Nottingham campuses. With two ‘WhatUni’ Awards in two consecutive years, OBC has become the fastest-growing independent higher education institution in the UK. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in partnership with the University of West London, Buckinghamshire New University, University for Creative Arts, and other institutions.
